Non-compete clauses are valid only if reasonable in duration, scope, and compensation. Overly broad ones are void.

Post-employment non-competes are evaluated by: (1) duration (1-2 years max), (2) geographic scope, (3) activity scope, (4) compensation provided, (5) employer's legitimate interest. Overly broad clauses violate public policy (Art. 90) and are void.
