Will / Testament

A will (yuigon / igon) is a unilateral declaration determining post-death property distribution. Three forms: holographic (Art. 968), notarized (Art. 969), and sealed (Art. 970). Holographic wills must be entirely handwritten, though property inventories may be typed (2019 reform). Bureau of Legal Affairs storage has been available since July 2020.
